It is possible to use a less expensive label if you take into consideration the dwell time along with the environment and surface in which the label is attached.
High specification labels High specification label Specialist high specification labels with high specification adhesives. By selecting substrates for qualities such as durability, fire retardancy, electrical insulation, chemical resistance or surface reflectivity then these labels are ideal for low surface energy (low tack) or high surface energy (high tack), deep freeze, chemical environments, acid environments, direct sunlight or even buried underground in items such as data logers. These labels are manufactured to exacting standards with a dimensional accuracy of +/-0.2mm for trouble free application into moulding recesses.
Screen printed labels Screen printed label Specialist custom screen printed labels, ideal for those larger sizes, suited for medium and high volume production or low volume production where labels are printed on a regular basis. Labels are supplied in a cut individually format or in a sheet format. Screen printed labels are extremely versatile and can be printed on a varity of metals, plastics and vinyl. These labels have an excellent long life and durability, they are ideal for fascia label applications where the label needs to last for many years or is placed in a high visibility area i.e. on the front panel of a control unit.
Destructible labels - Ultra destructible labels Ultra destructible label Destructible labels or ultra destructible labels are designed not to be removed once applied. They are used to discourage tampering or theft and are often used as asset labels, asset tracking labels, warranty seals, void seals, tampering seals. These labels cannot be removed in one piece and break up when someone tries to remove them. They are often found on computer and electronic equipment or tools and machinery.
Domed labels Domed label The doming process can be applied to all manner of labels, this can turn a flat label in a 3D label using polyurethane. This process can bring to life a label through touch and aesthetics and can also provide protection from UV light and the weather. These labels are ideal for electronic equipment, cars and lorries and even on aircraft. Another poplar use is in promotion of your products or services, the use of domed labels is often found across most industries with a wide variety of usages.

Four colour process labels - CMYK labels - 4 colour process labels Four colour process label Four colour process labels, also known as CMYK printed labels, by using the four colour process, Cyan (C), Magenta (M), Yellow (Y) and Black (K), a possibility of millions of colors are available. This enables labels to contain images to photo quality or complicated graphics which you can use to enhance the look or your products or items. These labels are used across all industries and in all sorts of environments. A four color process label is really only limited by your imagination.
Industrial labels Industrial label A wide range of industrial labels can be supplied which include warning labels, instruction labels, equipment labels, electrical or voltage warning labels, rating plate labels. These can be supplied in a wide selection of materials including self adhesive vinyl, polyimide, polyester, etc. These labels are often found on or in industrial applications and sometimes display engineering information, which are also referred to as engineering labels.
Laminated labels - Part laminated labels Laminated label Laminating can be applied to all manner of labels, this adds a clear film over the print to protect it from chemicals that may come into contact with the surface or to protect it from abrasion. Part lamination offers the chance to add information to the label before the laminate covering is fully applied. Such labels can be used for product ID, data CD cases, electrically tested labels, electrically passed or failed labels, QA labels, ID labels.
Metal labels Metal label Metal labels are ideal in harsh and aggressive environments, mechanical load applications, high temperatures and the chemical industry. Metals labels are often found on cars, industrial equipment, outdoors, underwater, aircraft. Such labels are made from anodised aluminium, steel or brass. These labels last for many years and are often screwed or pot riveted on to the application or are applied with a high specification adhesive.
Pantone Colour Matched Labels Pantone Coloured label A pantone colour matched label can be almost any type of label where you require the print colours to be matched to an exact pantone colour. These types of labels are often found on electronic equipment or where a label has a company logo or graphic, which needs to match the exact same colours found on other corporate material.
PCB labels (Printed Circuit Board lables) PCB label PCB labels are stuck to a printed circuit board before soldering. PCB labels must withstand chemical exposure and very high temperatures and still be readable or scan reliably if they contain a barcode. Labels stuck to PCB boards will travel through a solder bath or solder wave at temperatures of 230 Deg C up to 290 Deg C, and can be in contact with the solder for up to 8 seconds. It is important to select the correct label as sub-standard labels may curl, shrink, blacken or even fall off.
Piggyback labels Piggyback label Piggyback labels are where one label is placed on top of another label, these are sometimes referred to as a ‘label inside a label’. Piggyback labels are comprised from combining two layers of adhesive substrate, the bottom label provides the backing for the top label, this enables the top label to be peeled away from the bottom label and then affixed to another surface. These labels are commonplace in promotional and direct marketing., they are also widely used in parcel tracking where the top label can be peeled away from a label already affixed to a box and then stuck onto a sheet of paper where the customer then signs for the delivery, like the system used by the post office.
Polyester labels Polyester label Polyester labels are a very popular choice, they are used in all manner of labelling from asset labels to product identification labels on PC’s and other electronic equipment. Normally gloss white or matt silver and adhered using a permanent acrylic adhesive. These labels have an excellent temperature, chemical and humidity resistance and have a high cohesive strength.
Polypropylene labels Polypropylene label Polypropylene labels usually have a matte finish, they are usually white but are available in other colours. These labels are tear proof, waterproof, durable and moisture resistant. Polypropylene labels are often used for barcode labels, shelf labels or even bin labels, they can be found across a wide spectrum of industries and products due to their flexible usages.
Polyethylene labels Polyethylene label Polyethylene labels are durable and pliable, they are ideal for packaging, offering greater tear resistance than paper. Polyethylene labels adhere well to low energy and high energy surfaces, they are also ideally suited to curved surfaces such as shrink wrap and packaging. Polyethylene labels are commonly used in the Pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, and global distribution industries.
Vinyl labels Vinyl label Vinyl labels or vinyl stickers are popular and cost effective. An ideal choice for general signage and product information labelling. Vinyl labels are available in an array of different colours and can be left blank or printed to match any colour using the pantone or CMYK (4 colour print) process. The vinyl can be cut to any shape or size and can easily be domed for a 3D appearance or over laminated to strengthen the overall structure.
Security labels Security label Security labels are used to protect against theft and tampering. There are two main types of security label. Destructible labels which disintegrate when somebody tries to remove them and tamper evident labels which leave the word "VOID" on the surface of the product when somebody removes the label. These labels can be customised and bar-coded.
Waterproof labels Waterproof label Waterproof labels are ideal for use outside or in harsh and damp environments. They can be surface or subsurface printed on a number of substrates such as polyester, polycarbonate and vinyl, depending on the end requirement. These labels are highly durable and reliable and are commonly used on outdoor machinery and in the Air and Nautical Industry. Waterproof labels are considered a "high performance label".
Window labels Window label Window labels are specifically designed to be used on glass. You will mostly see them in cars and shop windows for advertising purposes. We are able to offer a low tack self-cling adhesive for projects that are intended for a short period of time, such as a promotional stickers or labels, and we also offer a stronger adhesive which adheres for a much longer period of time.
